SNOOKER world champion Luca Brecel admits the “sky is the limit” after revealing his incredible weight loss.

The 29-year-old Belgian has become one of the sport’s top stars after beating Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Selby in last year’s World Snooker Championship.

Brecel has since struggled to replicate his success, suffering defeats in the Masters and the World Masters of Snooker.

However, the fan favourite has still been winning away from the table.

That’s after undergoing a fitness regime to shed a load of weight.

Brecel admits he’s been focusing on exercise and diet after realising he needed a change.

And he can’t wait to see where things take him next as he prepares to retain his World Snooker Championship.

Brecel said: “I just needed to work a bit on my fitness and stuff like that.

“I lost a bit of weight and feel much better. I think that was the kind of change I needed to play well again.

“I feel like now, the sky is the limit.”

He added: “I’ve been practicing a lot and I’m feeling good off the table as well.

“I’m back. Every day I’ve been playing and enjoying it. When I practice, I do enjoy it every time.

“I’m just trying to get more fit. I’ve lost a bit of weight and I’m on a diet. I’m feeling really good.”
