Jimmy Carr has dropped a shock hint that he has welcomed a second child.
The comedian, 51, appeared to suggest he is now a father-of-two in a recent stand up performance. It comes after Jimmy revealed he welcomed his first child in 2021, two years after his son's birth. He welcomed Rockefeller into the world in 2019 with his long term partner and Channel 5 executive Karoline Copping.
The couple have been together since 2001 and it appears their family has grown. In a clip from Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer special on Netflix, he said: "I'm a father now. I had kids. I'm a dad." Jimmy notably said "kids" not "kid" and a crowd cheered him on as he thanked them. The funnyman sparked speculation he had become a dad for the first time after being spotted pushing a pram.
He hinted at becoming a father after making a crude joke during a stand-up gig. Jimmy then further confirmed the news in his book. He penned: "I take a lot of omega-3 fish oils and I try to eat right and exercise but, let's face it, I may have forgotten all my wisdom by then and where I left my keys. At least I'll still look the part. Thanks to the wonders of my plastic surgeon, I'm hoping my son won't realise I'm older than the other dads.
"He'll come and talk to me about his problems because, unlike the other dads, I'll never seem shocked or surprised, disappointed or sad, primarily because Botox has robbed me of the ability to move my forehead. Just like everyone else you know, I'm going to die, although in my case, large parts of me will not biodegrade. I imagine my teeth will outlive us all."
Katherine Ryan and Jimmy Carr leave fans 'screaming at the TV' on Limitless WinJimmy previously said that he won't be encouraging his son to follow his footsteps and become a stand-up comic. He said: "I'd love him to follow in my footsteps but not necessarily into comedy. Into whatever makes his heart sing. Whatever that thing is that just makes him go 'oh, I'm so happy doing this'. If you get to find that thing where you live to work and not work to live, that's for me incredible. Who wouldn't want that for their kid."
He has also opened up on his son's unusual name. Speaking to the Parenting Hell podcast, Jimmy said: "It's an unusual name. I've always like surnames as first names. We go Rockefeller. I always liked Fella, I think it's a lovely thing. People always go with the Rock thing but actually Fella's a great name. Alright Fella - brilliant."
Jimmy has only given rare insights into his parenting technique as in 2021, he revealed his son has never watched television. He shared how he was waiting until Rockefeller gets older and hoped to wait as long as he can. When asked whether Rockefeller watches TV, Jimmy said: "No, he's never seen TV. He's two. Is that weird? The only thing he seen is videos of me, like if I've got a gig and he's going to bed, we'll do a little FaceTime at bed. Hopefully by the time we ease TV in he'll just go 'I'm not interested, my dad seems to present everything'."
The Mirror has contacted Jimmy's representative for comment.
