Bosses of the Netflix favourite shared a teaser trailer on X tonight.

The Black Mirror account captioned the clip: "hip hip hooray."

It sparked a frenzy on the site and one fan reacted: "Omg, I can't wait to be gooped and gagged."

"Finally! I’ve said it before: Charlie Brooker is one of the greatest television writers ever! Give him ALL the Emmy’s," another raved.

A third pitched their own episode idea, writing: "One of the new stories could be a remake of a classic Black Mirror episode, but with a twist or updated setting. Perhaps they'll revisit a popular concept but explore it from a different angle."

One more said: "We are already living in black mirror honestly."

The long-running satirical anthology series, from British journalist Brooker, included some very famous faces last year.

Every episode in season six featured an A-lister, in what has become a growing trend for the sci-fi series.

Breaking Bad legend Aaron Paul featured in the Beyond The Sea episode, about a man living in space.

And Salma Hayek starred in Joan Is Awful, in which an average woman is revealed to be cheating on her partner when her life is played out on a TV show.

Miley Cyrus appeared in season five as a disgruntled rock star back in 2019.

Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II all have all made appearances in 2019.

The show then took a very long break when Covid hit and Brooker departed from his production company House of Tomorrow in 2020.

But Netflix worked out a deal that meant it could continue streaming on the platform.

And fans' prayers were finally answered last year when Charlie confirmed its return.

He told Netflix: "Bringing it all to life, we’ve got an incredible roster of disgustingly skillful, smart directors, working with a cast of actors so talented they frankly have no right to exist."

The dystopian anthology series has scooped eight Primetime Emmys and a Peabody Award.
