Beginning with a protest at William Beswick High School, the first day of the new term was complete chaos - but devastation soon came.

As the protest spiralled out of control in the schoolyard, the kids spilled out onto the street causing traffic chaos.

But as red paint bombs were thrown over cars and pupils, one driver couldn’t see.

She was shocked when another hit her windscreen and she hit the accelerator, shunting her car into the one in front.

That car, driven by teacher Coral Walker, crashed into Chloe Charles - knocking her down and leaving her injured.

Chloe returned to the school after getting her dates mixed up.

With a broken wrist, she managed to pitch her old teacher with an idea for help for kids with ADHD.

She left with the idea to become a teaching assistant and was full of hope for the future - and for the newly named Waterloo Road.

Later at home during dinner Chloe felt dizzy.

She put it down to too much wine - but she began to suffer from a really serious head pain and collapsed on the kitchen floor.

Dante screamed for their daughter to call an ambulance and Chloe was rushed to hospital.

But when Dante and the kids caught up to them, he was given the devastating news that Chloe had died.

He broke down in tears as the kids sobbed in the hospital corridor.
