Drying laundry when the weather is grim outside can be really tough but now cleaning buffs have found a storage-saving miracle solution.

As Brits continue to grapple with extortionate energy bills, the last thing we want to do is rely on central heating to dry our clothes. But not all hope is lost as B&M fans say one cheap solution is far more cost-effective, and saves loads of space.

Posting on the Facebook group 'Family Lowdown Tips and Ideas', which has a whopping 1.2 million total members, a woman revealed the "really useful" over-the-door clothes airer that costs just £12. Impressed with the find, she wrote: "This is really useful when you have a busy house."

The cleaning fan also explained that it "folds small when not in use". Thanks to the find, she was able to hang her washing over a door so the wet washing was out of the way.

Other social media users were quick to point out that the airer was a real "life-saver", with someone saying that they store theirs "over the stairs", which is good because the busy mum has six people in her household.

Another said that they "needed" the airer because they "live in a flat with no outside space" and "two airers take up the whole hallway."

Some were concerned that it would be too heavy, but the original poster said it was "very lightweight", reassuring them that they've had theirs "hanging since September" and it's "fine".

This over-door airer can be purchased in stores, but if you prefer free-standing airers, a three-tier airer can be purchased for £12, down from £18, from B&M.

The website describes it as a "perfect home accessory", promising that you can "dry a full wash load of clothes in one go on this fabulous airer". One of the best things about the Airer, though, is the fact you can "fold away for easy storage." It can also be purchased in rose gold for £18.
