A lucky winner has claimed a huge £5.2million jackpot on the National Lottery.
The player matched the six winning Lotto numbers and was the only ticket to select them all on Wednesday, April 17. They will receive the £5,281,290 jackpot once their claim has been verified. The news of this latest multi-million pound claim comes in what is turning out to be an amazing April for Lotto players, with 10 millionaires made so far. In total, eight ticket-holders have scooped £1m each by matching five main numbers and the bonus ball, and two very lucky ticket-holders have become multi-millionaires.
The first multi-millionaire of the month was created in the Lotto draw on Saturday, April 6, when one winner scooped the £7.5m jackpot, followed by the latest £5.2m winner from Wednesday’s draw. The lottery spokesman added that as with all major prizes, this Lotto jackpot prize claim will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news. There will be no information on whether they are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
