MSNBC host Joe Scarborough posted a short clip of a speech given by Trump on the social media platform while adding a scathing critique of the Republican presidential candidate.

"Donald Trump's America. And he is proud of it," wrote the host in his March 16 post.

"Promised another 'bloodbath' if he loses," Scarborough continued.

Musk, also the owner of X, quickly came to Trump's defense, commenting on the post.

"Jan 6 was not a 'bloodbath' by any definition," he began

"And Trump was referring to job losses in the auto industry when he used that word. Your post is extremely misleading," accused Musk.

He went on to continue his support the next day, posting a snide subtweet on March 17, calling out Scarborough.

"Easy to tell who is an NPC today," he wrote accompanying a meme.

The meme image showed the typical graphic to represent a hoard mindset all speaking into one speech bubble saying "Bloodbath."

An hour later the social media owner went on to post an additional supporting post for Trump captioned "Speech with full context."

In the video posted by Musk, it is revealed that the "bloodbath" comment that Trump makes is in reference to the automobile industry and job market.

"Sounds like the NPC chorus has some success. Did you watch the video? Trump is referring to job losses in the auto industry," Musk wrote in reply to a follower.

Although there is no time stamp available to tell when, sometime between Musk's original rebuttal posts and 1:00 PM March 17, Scarborough deleted his original post.

Where's the accountability? Scarborough owes a public apology for spreading such falsehoods!"

The host has yet to speak out on the post snafu, but that has not stopped citizens from chiming in with their thoughts.

"Context is king. The media doesn’t like context because it exposes all of their lies. The media’s lies being exposed is why the media is quickly going out of business. The media going out of business is why humanity will be saved," railed one X user.

Many users took to calling out Scarborough directly, citing him as part of what is wrong with how media operates.

"[It] showcases the blatant disregard for truth in media," wrote one user.

"Where's the accountability? Scarborough owes a public apology for spreading such falsehoods!"

While Scarborough faces immense backlash, Musk is being lauded a hero for his intervention.

"Elon Musk is out here community noting these clowns! You love to see it," wrote one right-wing account.

"It's astounding how these narratives are spun without remorse, and without Musk's intervention, such misleading propaganda would go unchecked," wrote another.

MUSK GAVE TRUMP HIS X VOICE BACK

In January 2021, shortly following the US Capitol riot, Twitter suspended Trump's personal and campaign accounts.

Twitter announced at the time that it banned Trump’s account because of the risk of further incitement of violence following the attack.

“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them, we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” the company wrote.

Musk acquired Twitter in October 2022 and restored Trump's account the next month.

“Reinstate former President Trump,” Musk wrote in a poll on his account, giving social media users the chance to vote “Yes” or “No."

Trump narrowly achieved his return, with 51.8% of people voting yes to restore his account.

“Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” wrote Musk, meaning "the voice of the people is the voice of God,” in Latin.

TRUMP HURTING FOR CASH

In the wake of his New York civil fraud case and a defamation trial, Trump's personal finances have taken a hit.

With a net worth estimated at around $200 billion by Forbes, Musk could help alleviate the expected financial advantage that Biden would have over Trump.

Trump, the tech boss, and several other wealthy Republican donors gathered in Florida on March 3 as Trump prepares to go head-to-head with President Joe Biden in November.

The meeting came as Trump and his team were in the process of sourcing additional donors for his reelection campaign against Biden, according to the New York Times.

Musk's recent social media posts bashing the Biden administration indicate that he's not in favor of the Democratic candidate's reelection.

People who have spoken to Musk privately confirmed that to be true.

After the meeting with Trump, Musk made a post on X, formerly Twitter, to clarify his financial intentions in the presidential race.

"Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President," he wrote on March 6.
