Aaron Ramsdale could be handed a route out of Arsenal with Wolves keen on the goalkeeper.

Ramsdale has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and is heavily linked with a move away as he looks to secure regular minutes. The Englishman had been the No 1 for the Gunners until David Raya arrived on loan, quickly leapfrogging Ramsdale in the pecking order.

Wolves are potentially looking to move on their current first-choice keeper, Jose Sa, this summer. His agent Jorge Mendes is well connected with those in Saudi Arabia and a big money switch to the Middle East could fund a swoop for Ramsdale.

A new goalkeeper is on their radar with Liverpool's back-up Caoimhin Kelleher and Sunderland's Anthony Patterson also on their shortlist, reports The Sun.

Ramsdale has made just six Premier League appearances this term - and four of those came in the opening weeks of the season. As a result, his minutes have been at a premium despite Mikel Arteta claiming he saw Ramsdale and Raya as his two No 1s.

The latter though has clearly become the preferred choice which has meant the former Sheffield United man has seen his career stall. Those lack of appearances may also cost him a shot at starting for England come the Euros this summer.

There was talk of Ramsdale potentially moving on back in January with Newcastle among those linked. Arteta has maintained he wants to keep his two goalkeepers at the Emirates. He said: "I want Aaron with us. I am very happy to have two very, very good goalkeepers and Aaron is staying with us. We want to be better, so we want to add to what we already have. That's the intention that we have."

Arteta's decision to axe Ramsdale surprised many with his Dad criticising the manner in which it was done earlier this season. He told the podcast: "You just have to look at it personally and I'm probably saying too much but: Aaron is going to be the cup goalkeeper, and David Raya is going to be the main man unless something happens, an injury or a sending-off. And Aaron's got to live with that and he is living with that even though he's not been told it. By anybody.

"Squads evolve all the time, nobody is going to be there forever. David Raya has not pulled up trees so far, let's say he's not going to. Even though the way it's been done, in my eyes, it's been wrong."
