Rachel Stevens has revealed S Club 7's touching plans to mark the anniversary of Paul Cattermole's death.

The late singer was found dead at his home in Dorset at the age of 46 on April 6 - just two months after the group had announced they were set to return to the music scene with a huge comeback tour. Nearly a year since his passing, Rachel says that she and her fellow bandmates are "raising a glass" to Paul, and added that their tour has turned into a "special tribute" to him.

"I can’t believe it is coming up to a year, but we will absolutely be raising a glass," Rachel explained to The Sun on Sunday. "We celebrate him all the time and that has been another thing that has been so special about coming back together. Paul was so excited about this tour, and it has turned into such a tribute to and celebration of him. It has been very emotional, but it’s a very cathartic way of sharing him and his memories."

S Club 7 rose to fame at the turn of the Millennium, having been put together by music mogul Simon Fuller - who has worked with acts such as Spice Girls, Kelly Clarkson and Amy Winehouse - in 1998. The widely acclaimed pop group are known for their hits songs including 'S Club Party', 'Never Had a Dream Come True' and 'Reach.'

Last month, the group who had been devasted by the passing of their close friend, revealed the song they had written and produced to mark what would have been Paul's 47 birthday.

They wrote a message on the official S Club Seven page which read: "Happy Birthday, our dearest Paul. In honour of you today, we have released across streaming platforms a very special version of Good Times (sung by Brad & Jon on the North American leg of The Good Times Tour).

"This song will always be yours, but we hope we’ve managed to do you proud. Thank you for all the Good Times. Deepest love, your S Club family." Fans were in tears as they took to the comment section to pay tribute to the late star. This has had me in tears this morning. The tribute to our beloved Paul is beautiful," one user said while another posted: "Aww happy heavenly birthday Paul we miss you." One user commented: "Oh wow…happy birthday Paul, we miss you. thank you boys for this beautiful tribute."

The group shared a throwback picture of Paul, Bradley, and Jon beaming with joy by the beach as they joked about, which they had used the photo as the cover for the song.
