Sheridan Smith has admitted the death of pal Paul Cattermole, 46, has left her feeling 'sick'.

The actress, 41, says she is 'devastated beyond words' following the news breaking of the S Club 7 singer's death earlier today, paying tribute to her long-time friend on social media this evening.

Paul's body was discovered at his home in Dorset on Thursday, with his loved ones announcing the tragic news via a statement issued today.

As celebrities like Rylan, Lorraine Kelly and more paid their respects to Paul online, Sheridan took to Instagram to share her own memories of the Don't Stop Movin' singer.

"Devastated beyond words," began the Gavin & Stacey star when addressing her followers this evening - sharing a snap of Paul as a youngster.

Accordioning to OK! magazine, mum-of-one Sheridan continued to remember Paul as an "amazing" person and added: "He was an amazing man and my heart breaks for his friends, family and loved ones. Thinking of Han & Neil and his band mates too. Too young. Feel sick."

Paul's death was announced by his family and his band S Club 7 earlier today, with fans and famous friends flooding social media with tributes and sharing their memories of the late star.

"He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."
