CASUALTY has been rocked by one of its most dramatic weeks ever after legendary character Charlie Fairhead finally departed Holby.
The remaining characters will be forced to deal with the fallout in a special double episode titled Breaking Point that is set to be packed full of twists and turns as well as three brand new characters set to replace Derek Thompson's character. Casualty fans first saw Tariq at Ashok's funeral but now he has landed himself a job in the ED.
Playing a junior doctor, his return will see him accompany Rash on his return to work and aim to support him through his difficult period after his father's death.
Killing Eve actor Manpreet Bachu will take on the role with fans set to be charmed over by the new character.
New in town
Nicole makes her first appearance on the showCredit: BBCCasualty fans will see the arrival of a brand new character called Nicole on the show this weekend.
Sammy T Dobson will portray the role of the junior doctor but she fails to make an impressive first impression when she arrives late for her very first shift.
Not only is she late but Nicole is left alone outside the hospital when she encounters an abandoned baby crying.
Upon hearing the cries, Nicole spings into action and has to take the baby into work with her.
Bad news for Jacob
Jacob finds out some shocking newsCredit: BBCJacob is left rocked when he receives some news from his son Blake.
Blake informs his father that he is in trouble and is in urgent need of help.

Later, horror sinks in for Jacob when he makes the worrying connection that Blake might have something to do with the abandoned baby.
With it confirmed that the baby is actually Jacob's grandson, he is forced to make a life-changing decision.
Another new face
Patrick takes over as the new clinical leadCredit: BBCThe ED will be dealing with a brand new face this weekend in the form of Patrick.
Actor Jamie Glover has been cast in the role as the ED's new clinical lead following the recent departure of Max.
However, it seems that Patrick means business and is unwilling to let his staff off lightly and is more than unimpressed with Rash and his poor state of mind at work.
Rash is under pressure

Having already made a mistake, Rash becomes heated and defensive and worries that he may have come back to work too soon.
During a chat with Patrick, Rash opens up about wanting to become a consultant via the CSER route.
Patrick attempts to deter him after informing him of just how difficult the process can be.
Things soon get worse for Rash following a patient's suicide as Tariq is forced to become a comfort blanket for him with Rash soon insisting that Tariq can stay with him.
Horror suicide twist
Rida is horrified at what happens to FernCredit: BBCNurse Rida is left in a struggle while trying to source inpatient treatment for Fern after she was sent back into the ED.
Rida is unable to lock down any secure treatment for Fern but this does not come as a shock to her.
It becomes clear that Fern is feeling low and she later takes herself off to the toilers.
Suspicion soon grows as Rida realises that Fern never returned and she is soon horrified to discover that Fern has committed suicide in the toilet.
Rida becomes furious that the hospital did not have the staff or resources to support her and it forces her to re-evaluate her time at the ED.
