Rebekah Vardy is said to be "furious" after her son's dad, Luke Foster, was jailed for growing cannabis.

The former footballer has been slapped with three years behind bars after admitting to growing the Class B drug. Foster, 38, who previously played for Preston North End dated Rebekah, 42, between 2007 and 2013, before she tied the knot with Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy, 37.

Becky and Foster share a teenage son with one another, who was born in 2010. Last month, the former Rotherham United defender was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court alongside two other defendants, with a judge handing him a three-year stint at His Majesty's pleasure.

Former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Becky is hoping that Foster's sentencing won't have a negative impact on their son. A source claims that she had only just found out about the shocking news which had left her completely "devastated". "This is devastating for Becky — she's only just found out about this, and of course she’s furious. It’s outrageous," a source said.

They went on to tell The Sun: "Her sole concern is to protect her son trying to live a quiet life, and making sure he’s surrounded by people who love him and that this has zero impact on his education and anything else that could feasibly affect a teenage boy." He faces a Proceeds of Crime Act in July this year over a bid to claim ill-gotten gains from the growing of the drug.

In 2017, Foster was ordered to pay Vardy £225 per month for child support for their son. The former lovers were locked in a year-long battle over cash after Vardy, whose maiden name is Nicholson insisted that she was owed cash to look after the then eight-year-old. Documents claimed that the Child Support Agency had ordered Foster to pay the sum, despite previously pleading to be "cut some slack".

A source at the time said: "Luke didn't pay maintenance for months and the CSA were chasing him. Becky just wants him to take some responsibility." Foster later told the Mirror that he had been hoping to get his finances sorted while working in management at Oldham Athletic, he explained: "I want to pay for my child."

Speaking in 2017, Luke said that Becky "liked the finer things" and often drove his Mercedes, which she reportedly wouldn't allow him to drive. "I'd pay for things I couldn't really afford. I'd get another credit card… eventually, it all came crumbling down," he said.

The Mirror has approached Rebekah for comment.
