Ryan Thomas has shared an injury update after winning Dancing on Ice.

The Coronation Street won the series after going head-to-head with Made In Chelsea's Miles Nazaire. It came down to the final two couples after Adele Roberts finished in third place mid-way through the last show of the series while Greg Rutherford was forced to pull out of the final due to injury.

Ryan left his fans concerned after sharing his recent hospital visit, in which he was left waiting for an MRI scan. He posted a series of updates on his Instagram Story as he awaited treatment.

In the first clip, Ryan wrote: "Two hours later still sat here waiting for MRI scan," as he waits in a hospital clinic. The Dancing on Ice winner then shared a hilarious meme, which read: "I just wanna apologise to the people I called old at 40 when I was 18."

He then reposted a picture with his skating partner Amani Fancy as he held up the Dancing on Ice trophy. In the picture you can see Amani holding onto Ryan's arm and the caption reads: "This was the moment Amani was saying thank you to my bad shoulder for lifting her above my head for the last five months."

Ryan revealed to his followers that his wait for an MRI scan was over with his most recent Instagram Story. It comes after the actor said before the final that he was suffering inflation of his shoulder, called a bursa, which was causing him “some discomfort”.

He said: “It was round the back, and now it’s come around the front of the shoulder and it is constant, it’s really starting to get quite painful.

“Your adrenaline seems to get you through it, and then it starts to wear off and then you feel it again, and you wake up with it and you just forget about it and then… the physio here is unbelievable and the team are unbelievable.

“So I’m in good hands, but it’s just getting me through that final now and rehearsals and we have to run things over and over again, there’s a lot of, technical stuff, lifts, still in there and there’s no avoiding (it) now (but) we try and take things out, put new things in, just try and take wear and tear off it but some things are unavoidable.”

After winning the series, Ryan paid tribute to his pro partner on Instagram. He wrote: Dedicating this post to my partner in crime @amanifancy what a journey. Our first weekend without a live performance. Thank you for putting up with me. I really couldn’t of done it without you."

She replied: "Aw Ry, my brother from another mother. Can’t wait to have a weekend soon where we actually chill."
