Taylor Swift has given fans extraordinary insight into life inside her $50million home. A writer, who visited her stunning pad in the celeb favourite Tribeca district of New York, has revealed all about her 'rustic' home.

The singer, who surprised fans with her epic The Tortured Poets Department album, lives in a mansion which boasts a huge Harry Potter collection.

Tyler Conroy, author of the book Taylor Swift: This is our song, says he was invited into the superstar's home with a few other fans where they were allowed to explore the lower floor of her huge property. As he grabbed a Diet Coke from her fridge, he said he checked out her personal library filled with Harry Potter books.

He told the Daily Mail: "I played with her pet cats, and it was then I noticed that there was a birdcage with a broken Grammy Award in it, and she wanted to look after it by putting it in the cage."

He summed up the celebrity pad calling it 'brown,' 'rustic' and 'old New York Style.' The pad apparently had a James Bond vibe to it too. Conroy explained it had a secret 'speakeasy bathroom' that was only accessible through a 'secret door behind a bookcase. The glam room included bathroom towels with her initials 'TS' engraved on them.

Meanwhile Taylor has reacted to The Tortured Poets Department album reviews, with the hitmaker insisting she is moved by the positive press the 31 tracks have received.

The 34-year-old American singer released her 11th studio album on Friday, with her also unveiling an accompanying anthology. In total, she released 31 tracks. Reviews have been mostly positive but one magazine critic who posted a less than glowing review requested to remain anonymous over fears of trolling from Swift's loyal fans.

The reviewer decided not to have their name in the byline when they reviewed the album for the entertainment website Paste. The magazine included an editor's note on its social media pages, noting how when they reviewed Taylor's 2019 album Lover, the writer received threats of violence from trolls.

The less-than-glowing review shared on Paste's website, sees the writer touch on how Taylor's latest album sees her "infantilise the very people who buy into her music and drive her successes upwards in the first place". The review also adds: "There is nothing poetic about a billionaire."

And now Taylor has broken her silence following the album's release and the reviews that have rolled in afterward. The hit-maker, who is currently basking in her album's success, has taken to her social media pages to react to the reviews of her latest body of work. On Sunday, Taylor took to both Instagram and Twitter to repost a number of reviews shared by big publications like Rolling Stone, among others. Sharing them with her followers, she captioned each one with her own lyrics.
