The horrifying moment a Dragons' Den winner crashed his £100,000 Ferrari on a city centre street has been caught on camera as it narrowly missed hitting three people.
Ross Mendham allegedly lost control of the red Ferrari F430, with CCTV showing the moment it careered across the street and towards the jogger and two other pedestrians. The flashy sports car then proceeded to smash into a set of bike racks, which were damaged in the crash in Norwich city centre on Sunday afternoon.
The smash left onlookers shocked, with one witness telling the Eastern Daily Press that 'if it's not a write off I'd be really surprised". Mendham, 40, pleaded guilty on Monday to breaching bail conditions in an upcoming trial in which he's accused of assaulting his pregnant partner.
Appearing at Norwich magistrate's court, Mendham admitted the breach by not keeping a GPS tag charged. Prosecutor Josephine Jones told the court Mendham was supposed to be under a 12-hour nighttime curfew between 7pm and 7am, which was electronically monitored.
Gina Mattioli, for the defendant, said the tag had been potentially faulty with a short battery life. Magistrates reimposed his curfew and bail conditions, including a ban on leaving Norfolk. He faces trial on June 5 at Norwich crown court.
Pregnant Stacey Solomon brands herself an 'old fogy' over NYE plans with JoeNorfolk Police said: "Police were called to Rose Lane, Norwich at 4.58pm on Sunday, March 17 following reports of a single vehicle collision. The road was closed whilst emergency services, including fire, attended the scene. No one was injured and the road reopened at 6.25pm."
The businessman, who is the son of ex-Norwich City player Peter Mendham, appeared on Dragons Den in 2013, walking away with a £60,000 investment from Peter Jones in his diet food firm. He now runs an up-cycled and vintage fashion brand.
