Prince Louis celebrated his sixth birthday today - just days before mum and dad, Kate Middleton and Prince William, mark their wedding anniversary on April 29.
According to sources, despite Kate's cancer diagnosis, the Prince and Princess of Wales are determined to keep family life as normal as possible and celebrate these milestones traditionally.
An insider told OK!: "William and Kate are trying to keep things as normal as possible for their children's sake," and "They don't want Kate's diagnosis to overshadow the children's lives and their happiness and are very much their priority."
The source also revealed that the Royal couple plans to celebrate Louis' birthday with his friends as usual and make a special effort to celebrate their anniversary together the following weekend in Norfolk. They added: "They [William and Kate] will celebrate Louis' birthday with his friends as usual and make a special effort to celebrate their anniversary together the weekend afterwards in Norfolk."

She added: "It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it."
Prince Louis, who is fourth in line to the throne after his older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte, celebrated his birthday on St George's Day, 2018. Born in the exclusive Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London, he tipped the scales at a healthy 8lb 7oz.

The young prince's birthday festivities came shortly after the Royal family commemorated what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 98th birthday on April 21st, an occasion they observed quietly. Former Royal butler Grant Harrold commented on the matter, saying: "They won't publicly do anything."

Amid these Royal celebrations, there's a touch of sadness this year due to Kate's health struggles. In a heartfelt video message released on March 22nd, the Princess of Wales opened up about her cancer diagnosis and the commencement of her chemotherapy treatment.
