A PET-OWNER has made an odd discovery inside of her four-legged friend's ear.
The cat's surprising marking has even led one person to speculate that he has ties with the "meowfia."
TikToker @darkcircels shared the weird find in a now-viral video on the social media platform.
She was playing with her newly adopted cat before revealing his secret from his past.
The orange-hued feline appeared calm and happy as she rubbed his head.

At eight years old, the cat clearly has a history that the owner wasn't made aware of.

Between showing the feline some love, the TikToker zoomed the camera in on the inside of its ear.
The cat had a tattoo inside of it, which appeared to spell out "PAW."
"I just adopted this 8-year-old cat and found a tattoo in his ear?" read the text.
She decided to ask the audience when it came to the strange discovery.
"Help, what the hell is this?" she added.
SPECULATIONS
The video drew in many Tiktokers who weighed in on what the tattoo could be about.
Many made jokes about the feline possibly leaving a rough life behind.
"He's in the 'meowfia,'" one wrote.
"The cat was a gangster back in his day," another TikToker commented.

Several other TikTokers weighed in on what might really be the reason behind the ink.
