SHOPPERS are rushing out to buy limited edition mini Cadbury Easter eggs ahead of March 31.

The eggs, a twist on the popular Creme Egg flavour but with added biscuit pieces, are on sale at Asda.

Shoppers can snap up the five-pack of Cadbury Oreo white chocolate eggs for £2.25 instead of £2.50.

Asda started stocking the sweet snacks in January, but some shoppers have only started realising they're on sale.

One posted a photo of the five-pack on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group last night commenting "never seen these before".

The post has notched up hundreds of likes and comments from foodies keen to snap up some for themselves.

One said "quick! Run! Lol" while another, tagging a friend, added "I need these. Fancy a trip to Asda".

Meanwhile, a third simply said: "Need these."

Bear in mind, we spotted the multi-pack on sale on Asda's website for £2.25, but they might be more expensive in your local branch.

The shopper who posted about the multi-pack on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group said they cost £2.50 at their nearby store.

We have asked Asda how long the limited edition eggs are on sale for and we will update this story when we have heard back.

It's not the first Cadbury chocolate to have shoppers in a tizz in recent months.

B&M customers were buzzing after spotting a new Cadbury Twirl flavour hit shelves for just 29p earlier this week.

The limited edition mint-flavoured bar normally sells for 75p a pop but was being flogged at the massively discounted rate.

Shoppers were able to pick up four of the bars for £1 too - 25p each.

Cadbury recently launched two new and "indulgent" Dairy Milk flavours in a boost for chocolate lovers too.

The nutty praline crisp and caramel nut crunch flavours were both unveiled on Monday (March 18).

Cadbury fans were rushing to Amazon's website over the weekend too to snap up giant boxes of Creme Eggs for just over £21.

Chocolate fans have been left in meltdown in recent months too after a number of popular products were axed.

Last November, Nestle discontinued its iconic Caramac bar after 60 years, with fans calling the move a "travesty".

The chocolatier said it had discontinued the bar after a decline in sales.

The month before, it confirmed it had dropped its Dairy Milk 30% less sugar bar just four years after launch.

Earlier this month, M&S shoppers were left fuming after discovering Cadbury has dropped its Egg 'n' Spoon eggs from shelves.
