Brainbox Anne has spent over a decade stunning players and the audience at home with her elite quizzing skills.

The Governess previously admitted that she's been tempted to appear on other popular gameshows, but made it clear that she has no plans to leave The Chase just yet.

During a sitdown with the Daily Star, Anne revealed how long she wanted to stay on the hit ITV show.

Opening up to the publication, the star said: "As long as they'll have me, really. I don't have any plans to retire.

"It's [the show] the little workhorse that makes everything else possible, and I love doing it.”

She added: "It's the best job I've ever had, so I'm happy to keep going as long as they want me for."

Anne previously disclosed that producers told her off after she was offered the chance to appear on a rival game show a few years back.

She admitted wanting to take up the offer to go on the BBC's Celebrity Mastermind, but ITV bosses weren't happy about the opportunity and didn't let her pursue it.

When asked if there were any other TV shows she'd like to appear on, Anne revealed: "The trouble is I'm not allowed to do any other [shows].

“I mean, I got tapped up for Celebrity Mastermind a few years ago, but the producer said, 'absolutely not, we're not letting you do it'".

Even though Anne never made it to Celebrity Mastermind, she did star as a contestant on the 2018 series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

She joined former footy manager Harry Redknapp, who won, and Emily Atack in the jungle.

It comes after Anne admitted that producers choose how much money they can offer contestants on The Chase, not the Chasers, as fans are led to believe.

She told Metro: "I’m probably not supposed to tell you, so I’m telling you, it’s actually the producers.

"The message gets passed down to the floor, and that’s how we know what the offer is. We don’t actually make it up ourselves, but we have to pretend that we did!".

Speaking about what TV shows she is allowed to be ahead of the TV Choice Awards 2024, Anne revealed: “The trouble is I’m not allowed to do any others.

"I mean, I got tapped up for Celebrity Mastermind a few years ago, and the producer was like, ‘Absolutely not, we are not letting you do it’.

“I was invited on an Only Connect team before I got the job at The Chase, and I had to turn it down because I didn’t think The Chase would like it if I got the job.”

Anne also admitted to OK! Magazine that she would love to see Stephen Fry, who previously hosted QI, take on the chasers.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX at 5pm.
