A woman sadly died after a "medical emergency" inside a Burger King in Birmingham.
The incident occurred in Birmingham city centre on March 16. Two off-duty student paramedics and armed police had initially battled to save the woman, who was in a critical condition, but she died later at the scene.
According to West Midlands Ambulance Service they found a woman in a critical condition. Paramedics administered advanced life support. Sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing more could be done to save her.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called at 3.30pm on Saturday to a medical emergency at a property on High Street, Birmingham. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman in a critical condition being cared for by two off-duty student paramedics.
"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support to her but unfortunately, despite their best efforts nothing more could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
