Jenna Coleman has reunited with her ex-boyfriend Richard Madden for a continental catch-up - nine years after their split.
The 37-year-old Doctor Who star dated Game of Thrones actor Richard from 2011 until 2015. And while some exes struggle to maintain a friendship once a relationship has collapsed, it seems Jenna and 37-year-old Richard are firm friends all these years later.
The former couple were all smiles as they posed for a photograph together while exploring the streets of Barcelona. Taking to Instagram Stories, Jenna shared a snap of herself with Richard looking thrilled to be together in the Spanish city.
The photo showed Richard flashing a dazzling smile while wearing a pair of dark sunglasses - while Jenna too had a beaming smile as she sported a pair of square-rimmed sunnies. The actress added a string of Spanish flag emojis to the image and posted it online for her fans to see.

Jenna was wrapping up her time on Doctor Who where she had played assistant Clara Oswald for three years, while Richard was cracking into Hollywood with a role in Disney blockbuster Cinderella. A source said at the time of the split: “They will always be friends and have been through a lot together. When they first dated they were both jobbing actors, now they are both global stars.”

Jenna was then linked to Prince Harry after snaps emerged of her looking close to the then-single Prince. However, a source told the Mirror at the time: “They were just two young people on a night out chatting. Jenna was honoured to meet Harry, but the pictures make their chat look a lot more intimate than it was.
"They were at a party and were surrounded by friends. It was not flirty and the whole conversation has been blown out of proportion.” Jenna herself also laughed off the speculation - saying on The One Show at the time: “No, he's a friend of mine."
In recent weeks, Jenna has sparked marriage rumours after she was spotted with a gold band on her wedding finger in January. She has been in a relationship with director Jamie Childs after meeting on the set of the Netflix show The Sandman. However, the actress then appeared to pointedly show off her naked fingers while out in public in February - sparking speculation that reports of her supposed secret marriage to Jamie had been hugely exaggerated.
Jenna appeared to share a snap of Jamie while uploading further Barcelona snaps on Instagram. The TV star shared a photo of a man dressed in black with his face obscured by a camera - with many fans convinced it is her boyfriend. The actress has also been sharing photos of impressive architectural and interiors of buildings during her sun-soaked trip.
