Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has returned to social media following reports she has split with boyfriend Bobby Brazier.
The young couple are said to have ended their brief romance after the Strictly tour came to an end. The pair had kept fans guessing with the cute public displays of affection and cosy date nights. However, fans of the show will be gutted to hear the two actors have called time on their fling as they struggled to make the long distance romance work.
Keeping her head up amid her heartbreak, Ellie put on a brave face as she returned to social media on Friday night to show her support for another of her co-stars. This time Ellie reached out to her former Coronation Street star Colson Smith. Colson made it to the final of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night, with Ellie one of the millions of viewers tuned in at home to see the outcome.
Ellie, 20, who played Faye Windass on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to express her thoughts on Colson - who stars as policeman Craig Tinker - finishing in third place. Ellie posted on her story "Proud", alongside a red heart emoji.
This comes after Ellie has been silent over her reported split with her Strictly co-star Bobby. Earlier this week, it was reported the couple had struggled to keep the flames of love burning with Bobby living in Essex and Ellie moving back to Manchester after the Strictly tour wrapped.
Helen Flanagan battles to save NYE plans after 'poo explosion' in her carA source told The Sun: “Love blossomed between them when they were in close quarters on the tour, but once that ended they both spent much less time together. That gave them space to think about the future, which is likely to take them in very different directions over the coming year or two. So they decided the best thing to do was quit while they were ahead and while they were still pals, because they both really cherish the friendship they have."
The breakdown of their romance comes days after Ellie hit out at rumours she was dating her professional dancer Vito Coppola. Alongside a black and white picture of the dancer, she wrote: "Love this man dearly [red heart emoji] men and women can be friends and can love each other AS FRIENDS... just sayin x @vitocoppola you have the cutest face."
And speaking to Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio 2, Ellie said Vito was "the best partner" she could've asked for. She went on to say: "I had the absolute best time ever, I don't think anyone can actually prepare you for what it's going to be like. I didn't realise how much fun I would have and how hard it would be."
And Bobby was very quick to downplay reports that he was in a relationship with Ellie when asked about his status. Speaking with OK! magazine in February, around the time of Valentines Day, he said: ""No, no, not yet. Maybe I will. If someone asked me out..." However, he later said of Ellie: "She is a lovely lovely friend of mine." When pressed on any romance between them, he explained: "She's a lovely, lovely, lovely friend of mine."
