WITH up to 80% of people experiencing chicken skin at some point in their life, it’s no surprise that sufferers are always sharing products to banish the skin condition.
Officially named keratosis pilaris, it is characterised by small, rough bumps that typically appear on the upper arms, thighs, buttocks and sometimes on the face.
It gets its nickname due to its resemblance to the skin of a plucked chicken - so glamorous, we know.

Bosses even added that the product is designed for keratosis pilaris and psoriasis-prone skin.
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) known for its exfoliating properties.
It penetrates the skin to unclog pores, dissolve dead skin cells and help improve the texture of rough, bumpy skin.
And while it’s known for its exfoliating properties, the CeraVe’s Smoothing Cream is formulated to be gentle enough for daily use.
