Travis Kelce had a hilarious reaction when his reality show career was compared to the Kardashian-Jenner family.
The famous family have ruled reality TV since Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired on E! back in 2007, and over the last 17 years, they have expanded their empire with spin-off shows, such as Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, as well as signing a huge deal with Hulu to keep their show running for another decade. While Kansas City Chiefs’ tight-end Travis had a very shortlived career after his dating show Catching Kelce first aired back in 2016.
The NFL star aimed to find love but whittling down 50 lucky women who tried to win his heart, but he’s since confessed he felt the show didn’t portray him very well, and broke up with winner Maya just weeks after the final. In an interview with Extra, host Billy Bush suggested Travis, along with his brother Jason Kelce, sister-in-law Kylie Kelce and mother Donna Kelce should pitch their own family reality series - Keeping Up With the Kelces - to rival the Kardashians.

“Oh no,” he laughed. “The reality show is in my past. I don't think I'd ever do another. I'm gonna have to be out on that.” While Swifties will be disappointed Travis has shut down a return to reality TV, Travis did suggest his big brother Jason should star in his own reality show along with his daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 14 months. “Who knows,” he teased, suggesting the former NFL star would be letting cameras into his home.

The 34-year-old then explained that he was ultimately forced to agree to sign up to Catching Kelce after running into financial difficulties. “I was having so much fun buying whatever the hell I wanted to, going wherever the hell I wanted to. I wasn’t financially looking at this as, you know, I need to have money down the line,” Travis recalled.
“There were times in the offseason, I was avoiding the rent lady. It was that bad.” So finally he gave in: “I heard about this situation where I could make six figures in two weeks, and I was like, Uhhh. And 50 ladies? I’m like, This is actually starting to sound a little better,” he joked. His sister-in-law Kylie also reflected on Travis signing up to do the dating show, and during an episode of Travis and Jason’s podcast New Heights, she confessed she was immediately concerned despite only having met Travis a few times. “And I was like, ‘I know I’m new here, but that doesn’t sound like a great idea,” she quipped.
