Will Smith 'caught speeding' on 'treacherous' road where 58 have died

Will Smith was reportedly caught speeding in Malibu.

The I Am Legend actor was thought to be driving at 63mph in a 45mph zone on the Pacific Coast Highway on Friday morning. Law enforcement sources branded the "dangerous" stretch of road "treacherous" after dozens of deaths.

Insiders told TMZ that "no one gets a break for putting the pedal to the metal on such a super dangerous stretch of highway". The outlet reports 58 people have died on the road in 14 years, sparking "zero tolerance for speed demons, no matter who they are".

The Mirror has approached Will's representatives for comment. It's another blow for Will who last year was said to be "humiliated" by his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and "wants a divorce", following their bombshell on-and-off claims. Last September it was reported that Hollywood power couple Will and his wife Jada had split and were enduring a seven-year-long separation, with it reported soon after that they were "working to reconcile".

But according to a source, Will was "blindsided" by Jada's confessions regarding their private life, following the release of Jada's book and various podcast and television appearances. An insider told Heat that Jada did not have Will's approval to discuss their private life. They then said that he has been left feeling "more emasculated than ever".

Will is said to feel "humiliated" and "betrayed" by Jada addressing the infamous Oscars slap, with the actor now setting his sights on divorce. Touching on divorce, the source revealed: "He [Will] knows he needs to be strategic as there's $400m on the line. But he's hurt and angry and this is the final straw. He wants to divorce and end the charade."

They then added that he wants a "real relationship" now, and even though he still loves Jada, "that ship has sailed". Last October, Jada revealed to People magazine that she and her husband had been separated for six years before the Oscars slap incident between Will and comedian Chris Rock. But then days later, she appeared on the Today show and spoke about reconciliation. "There’s no finding another great love," she revealed, adding: "We are working very hard at bringing our relationship together."

Also last year, Will denied allegations that he had sex with fellow actor Duane Martin. The Fresh Prince star called claims "unequivocally false" after Brother Bilaal - who claims to be Will's former personal assistant - made the shocking statement in an interview. Talking to internet personality Tasha K, Bilaal described how he had witnessed Will engaged in a sex act with Duane in his dressing room.
