HYUNDAI has revamped a pair of their most popular gas-powered SUVs.

The South Korean car manufacturer unveiled the latest Santa Cruz and Tucson models on Wednesday at the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center.

The refreshed 2025 Tucson underscores comfort for drivers and passengers, equipped with a stylish interior and new safety features.

Inside, the old two separate digital screens were combined to give owners a new single 12.3-inch touchscreen dashboard.

The glass dashboard, described as having a desktop-like feel, features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

And for the first time, buyers can opt for a color head-up display.

The center stack also includes new knobs and switchgear for frequently used functions like audio and climate settings.

On the outside, the automaker installed a new grille on the compact SUV, reducing the number of individual daytime running lights on the headlines from 10 to eight.

Under the hood, the 2025 edition is powered by a 4-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower.

For drivers with a need for speed, the hybrid and plug-in hybrid options both use a 1.6-liter turbo-4 for their internal combustion component.

The Tucson hybrid features 231 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid delivers 268 horsepower.

It's the first time the Hyundai Tucson has received a complete facelift since the SUV's new fleet debuted on the US market in 2022.

The 2025 Tucson will reach Hyundai showrooms nationwide in June, while the hybrid options will be available by late summer.

SANTA CRUZ UPGRADE

For 2025, Hyundai has upgraded its only compact pickup truck with a new front-to-end appearance and interior.

Much like the Tucson, the Santa Cruz's cockpit will feature a dual 12.3-inch dashboard.

The curved dashboard is front and center, nested in the truck's leather interior trim.

Drivers are sure to enjoy the car's all-terrain tires and the truck's four-drive mode options.

The Santa Cruz comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but features new technology in Hyundai Pay, which allows drivers to make in-car payments.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck also includes Hyundai's Digital Key 2 Touch, which lets owners lock and unlock their cars with their smartphones.

The 2025 Santa Cruz will reach dealerships during the summer.

THE NEW BIGGER, BOLDER, KIA K4

Kia unveiled its all-new K4 sedan with the audience at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday.

The K4 will arrive with two powertrain options and a four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower.

The new compact sedan will replace the Forte model.

Kia described the K4 as its largest sedan with extra legroom for more comfort.

Inside, a 30-inch display dominates the dashboard, featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The glossy interior comes with gray and black leather trimmings.

"The all-new K4 combines elegance and athleticism," Kareem Habib, Kia Executive Vice President and Head of Global Design, said on Wednesday.

"The K4 offers a premium and rewarding experience, fusing usability design and tech into a single comprehensive package."

The automaker will offer the K4 in five trim levels: the LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo.

The K4 will arrive in showrooms during the fall.
