Fans have suggested there is a curse on the celebrity real estate agents of Selling Sunset, after Chelsea Lazkani filed for divorce.
The 30-year-old star cited “irreconcilable differences” in the documents as she separated from her husband of almost seven years, Jeff Lazkani, on Wednesday. The couple share two children - Maddox Ali Lavon Lazkani, 5, and Melia Iman Lazkani, 3 - and Chelsea, who made her debut on the show in season five, filed for joint custody and spousal support from the advertising agency executive. The news stunned fans of the show, who were surprised to see their relationship crumble. Jeff made several appearances on Selling Sunset, and he played a big part in her career, as he arranged her meeting with Jason Oppenheim, the founder of the Oppenheim Group real estate agency.

The 35-year-old’s marriage to husband Christian Dumontet recently hit the headlines, after it emerged he requested a restraining order against his wife. Christine Quinn's husband asked for a temporary restraining order against his wife after he was arrested at the pair's mansion last week after allegedly "throwing bag containing a glass bottle at the [unnamed] victim," the LAPD confirmed. He was taken away barefoot in cuffs, wearing only a bathrobe and his glasses. The LAPD told Page Six: "The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury. The child was seen by paramedics but not transported to hospital."

After the incident, police say that an individual was treated by paramedics, but no one was taken to the hospital. Christian was then held on bail for $30,000. A judge has yet to weigh in on the potential order.

Fan favourite cast member Chrishell has had her fair share of heartache over the years, and her first heartbreak on the show was with ex-husband Justin Hartley, The This Is Us star had made several appearances on Selling Sunset alongside his wife, and the couple looked smitten. They began dating in 2013, and wed four years later at a ranch in Malibu, and in 2019, Chrishell was by Justin’s side as he attended the Emmys. Less than two months later, she was blindsided by a text message from her husband, who had told her he had filed for divorce.
“He text me that we were filed,” she told Mary Fitzgerald during an episode of Selling Sunset. “Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.” Just a few months later, Justin began dating his The Young and the Restless co-star Sofia Pernas, and the pair wed in March 2021.
Chrishell went on to date her co-star and boss Jason Oppenheim in July 2021, and their romance played out during season five of the show. However, their relationship fizzled out, and it later emerged they had split over Jason’s refusal to settle down and have kids. “Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes,” Chrisell shared on social media following news of the split, while Jason paid tribute to his ex with a sweet post. “She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life,” he gushed.
