Kathy Bates was seen looking slimmer than ever as she stepped out on the set of her latest project.
The American Horror Story star has been busy filming the CBS reboot of Matlock, which was hugely popular with viewers back in the '80s. Kathy, 75, was seen working on scenes for the show out and about in Los Angeles on Friday showing off her trim physique.
Dressed in a burgundy coat with a paisley print blouse and matching scarf, Kathy added a pair of navy blue trousers to her look. She wore her grey hair tied up in a slick bun and had a pair of black leather loafers on her feet.

Kathy has opened up about her weight loss previously in an interview where she admitted health reasons were behind her decision to slim down. She admitted that she was facing a Type Two Diabetes diagnosis and it caused her to make changes to her lifestyle.
She told Extra: "I was facing diabetes - it runs in my family - and I really didn’t want to live with that." Diabetes can be exacerbated by excess weight and is prevalent in those pre-disposed to it. The actress added: "I'm in the best health I’ve been in in years and I’m so grateful - it’s a miracle," she continued.
She then described the method she had used to lose weight as she continued: "After you eat for 20-30 minutes, you experience an involuntary sigh. It’s communication between stomach and brain telling you you had enough… and what I discovered is if you listen to that sigh and push that plate away for just five minutes, you realize you’re satisfied and you don’t have to eat more."

Kathy lost weight to aid her health (Dsanchez/CPR / BACKGRID)Kathy has previously discussed her battle with lymphedema after she was twice diagnosed with cancer. The condition causes swelling in the limbs due to a build up of excess fluid from inflamed tissue.
The star was first diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer in 2003 which she underwent chemotherapy for to receive the all clear. Then in 2012 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy to aid her treatment for the disease.
Kathy admitted that the weight loss has "really helped with my symptoms," but she still has to "wear compression sleeves or guard against bug bites because that can lead to sepsis." Kathy plays Madeline Matlock in the reboot of the original legal drama, Matlock which is expected to be released in late 2024 or early 2025.
