EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley showed off the results of her incredible hard work after shedding five stone in a year-long life overhaul.

The actress left Albert Square in 2023 after seven years playing Karen Taylor and has been making the most of her time away from reading soap scripts by holidaying across Europe with her partner and indulging in some great food. And Lorraine looks better than ever as she sports sunkissed skin and a healthy glow, taking to Instagram to show off the results of her life change after a year.

Sharing a before and after photo of herself within the space of 12 months, Lorraine wrote: "What a difference a year makes. Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy #fitat40 #healthy #moderation @louiseappelpt thank you! For your inspiration."

In the second photo, Lorraine looked happier than ever as she posed in a sexy black playsuit, showing off her toned tanned legs in a pair of strappy heels. Making a leace sign, Lorraine had her Fitbit on show and her hair styled in simple waves reaching down to her shoulders.

On ITV's Lorraine, the actress previously shared how she lost weight. She said: "I've lost 12lbs in six weeks. My mate Louisa is my fitness guru, I've got her to thank for it. She talks about nutrition. I've eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken. No carbs, no crisps and chocolate. I'm enjoying it and I feel better for it."

She also expressed her sadness at leaving the show and her EastEnders family but was eager to see what new opportunities lay ahead. "I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady. I'd be Gemma's [Winter] auntie, Bernie's sister," she said. "I'd be in their family and I'd take over The Rovers." Announcing the news over the summer, she wrote: "Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for giving me the opportunity to play such a fabulous character."

Lorraine certainly hasn't just lounging in the sun during her time away from the soap and will be taking part in a pulse-raising skydive for For the Childhood Tumour Trust after becoming an ambassador for the charity. Her adventures across the last few months have also seen her appear at the Pink Ribbon Foundation's Piccadilly lights, jet to Tenerife, enjoy the art museums of Barcelona and support pals in theatre and panto productions across the UK.
