A chic parasol from Dunelm has won over shoppers thanks to its "excellent value for money" and "amazing shade". The Recycled Polyester Cream Carousel Parasol, boasting a 2.7m span and a towering height of 2.85m, is priced at £100 and being touted as the perfect garden showpiece.

As summer approaches, finding a cool spot in the garden becomes a must for outdoor enthusiasts, and this parasol's size and tilt feature are proving to be a real boon. Dunelm says the item is "a great way to create shade and cool down as the weather heats up", highlighting that "the crank mechanism makes opening easy".

Customers have showered the parasol with high ratings, averaging 4.3 out of 5 stars. One satisfied customer shared: "I am so happy with this sun shade, it looks beautiful when it's up. It's a great size and really easy to put up and take down. As it's metal it's much more robust than wood. It's also really easy to take up as it's not too heavy."

Another enthused: "Beautiful looking parasol, nice and big to give plenty of shade. The fact it tilts is a bonus and the crank handle makes it so easy to put up and down. Excellent value for money as it looks quite expensive."

And a third added: "Thought the parasol was very good quality, well made. Everyone has commented on it. Didn't really look at the measurements but it's very big. Amazing shade. Definitely recommend", reports the Express.

One shopper said: "Beautiful but a lot larger than I was expecting......should have read the dimensions." Yet, not all feedback was glowing, as one disappointed customer remarked: "My parasol looked amazing, but the mechanism was faulty... I've still to return it for an exchange."

Another voiced their discontent, saying: "Great looking Parasol... but 3 tassels missing and the cap at the top doesn't fit on straight! I have tried contacting Dunelm but had no response, very frustrating! ".

For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, Amazon's Christow Tilting Garden Parasol Umbrella is easier on the wallet at £42.99, while Argos offers a more substantial 3m Overhanging Garden Parasol for a heftier £110.
