Sharon Stone is accused of causing a high-speed car crash in Los Angeles.

The Basic Instinct actress is reportedly being sued for more than £28,000 ($35,000) after the alleged incident last year. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, motorist Amanda Godepski has filed a complaint to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

In the filing, submitted on Wednesday, April 24, Sharon is accused of driving in an "unsafe" manner on the U.S. Route 101 freeway off-ramp at Coldwater Canyon Avenue on June 30 last year, per documents – allegedly causing damage and personal injury.

Gosepksi alleges that Sharon was "negligently owning, operating, driving, managing and maintaining a vehicle". The filing adds, "Defendant Sharon Vonne Stone caused the collision by driving too fast for traffic conditions and making an unsafe turning movement into plaintiff's lane of travel and colliding into plaintiff's vehicle."

The report cites violations of three California vehicle regulations, including driving too fast for the traffic, making hazardous turns, and changing lanes, per the filing. Sharon is being sued for "wage loss, property damage, general damage and loss of earnings".

She's also claiming "emotional distress" and "economical damage", plus "non-economical damage" after being taken to the hospital. Sharon hasn't yet responded to the lawsuit, the Mirror has also approached her representatives for a comment.

It comes after the actress found herself swept up in controversy after claiming she had been pressured, during the filming of her 1993 thriller Sliver, to have sex with her co-star Billy Baldwin, 61, by the legendary film producer Robert Evans, who died in 2019 at age 89. She previously wrote about the incident in her 2021 memoir but did not disclose anyone's identities until her recent interview on Louis Theroux's podcast.

"He [Evans] called me to his office. He had these very low seventies, eighties couches, so I'm essentially sitting on the floor, when I should have been on set," Stone said.

"And he's running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin's performance would get better. And we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem. And if I could sleep with Billy then we'd have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie, and the real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight."

Following her claims, Billy accused Sharon of being "hurt" he shunned her advances and threatened to "write a book about the many disturbing, kinky tales" he knows about her. Billy took to X, saying: "Not sure why Sharon Stone keep talking about me all these years later? Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?"
