BOLTON is the mouldiest place to live in Britain, a study has found.
Its residents search the internet for mildew solutions more often than people in any other part of the country.

Just 93 miles away in Derby, barely one per cent of the population did the same, a study for thermal imaging firm Tester discovered.
A spokesman for Tester said: “Derby is the UK’s least mouldy city.”

He said: “I’ve lived in eight rented homes in Bolton since I was 20, and all of them have had problems with mould, especially the bathrooms and kitchens.
“I bought my own place three years ago, and as soon as I see any mould I deal with it immediately as I know how fast it can spread.”
He said he even got a builder in to check the vents in the house and to ensure all the pipes were properly insulated, adding: “I’ve had mould before and I don’t want to see it again.”
Left alone, condensation can create mould and mildew which is both a pain to get rid of and can cause havoc with your health including worsening asthma, eczema and allergies.
