Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have maintained a close bond throughout their marriage and divorce, with the couple ven remaining friendly as Ben battles divorce rumours with his current wife Jennifer Lopez.
The couple got married in 2005, in an intimate ceremony, after Ben's romance with J.Lo came to an end the year before in 2004. While married, the couple welcomed three children - Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
Ben and Jennifer's marriage came to an end in 2015. Ben entered a treatment facility for alcohol addiction two years later. He thanked Jennifer for supporting him and caring for their kids while he was in rehab.

Speaking to Vanity Fair in 2016, one year after the divorce, Jennifer spoke of her ex-husband fondly when she gushed: "I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again.
"You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that?
"He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, 'When his sun shines on you, you feel it.' But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow."
In the years since their divorce, Ben and his ex-wife have remained close while co-parenting their three children. Often seen together at events for their kids, or seen at each other's homes, the pair appear to have maintained a more than civil relationship post-split.

In 2021, he said he would "probably still be drinking" if he was with her.
"Part of why I started drinking alcohol was because I felt trapped," he told Howard Stern. "I was like ‘I can't leave because of my kids, but I'm not happy. What do I do?’ What I did was drink a bottle of scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution."
However, he later clarified that it wasn't his intent to blame Jennifer. He told The Hollywood Reporter: "My behaviour is my responsibility entirely."
"I was trying to say, 'Hey, look, I was drinking too much, and the less happy you become, whether it's your job, your marriage, it's just that as life becomes more difficult, if you're doing things to fill a hole that aren't healthy, you're going to start doing more of those things," he said.
It seems the comments didn't have too strong of an impact on the ex-couple as they seem to be cordial these days.

Hollywood actor Ben and his current wife J.Lo, whom he wed two years ago, have been at the center of split rumors over the last few weeks. The couple's love story might be over, according to reports, with divorce speculation rife and fuelled by the couple themselves with their recent behavior.
A source recently said Ben has felt "worn down" by the marriage amid Jennifer's increased workload. Speaking to Us Magazine, the source said: "He's been checked out," adding that the couple are on "two completely different pages".
Ben and JLo's romance began before he wed Jennifer Garner. Ben first started dating the hitmaker in 2002, with them getting engaged for the first time that same year. They then postponed their wedding in September 2003 and officially split in January 2004.
Bennifer, as they were nicknamed, then rekindled their romance and went Instagram official on JLo's 52nd birthday in 2021. They were engaged a second time by April 2022. They then married that same summer.
