Love Island fans could be in for yet more dramatic twists as bombshell Joey Essex's ex has 'revealed' she is entering the villa.
Despite only being three days into this year's series, viewers were left gobsmacked when former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey waltzed in - the cast were just as shocked. But things could be about to get even more juicy, as Joey's ex girlfriend, model Sabreena Diamond has hinted that she is making her way to the villa herself.
The 21-year-old took to her TikTok to address the fact Joey entered the villa, with Taylor Swift's Smallest man Alive, she wrote: "When your ex walks into the Love Island villa as a bombshell..."
With fans and followers still reeling from Joey's appearance, one fan wrote: "Time for you to enter as the next bombshell xxx" Sabreena replied: "On my way," followed by running and plane emojis. Another fan wrote: "Get this woman in the villa to tear s*** up right now." Feeding into the frenzy, she replied: "I’m in the gym training for it rn."
Joey and Sabreena seemed to go public in September 2018, when they were photographed cosying up together on a night out in London, but nothing was ever made official. And now Joey is hoping he can find something on a "deeper level" while in the villa.
Gemma Owen's mum makes cryptic 'fakery' dig after Love Island star's Luca splitSpeaking before entering, he said: "I’m praying that I’m going to walk out of the villa hand in hand with the love of my life, that’s my main aim and all I care about. It’s difficult for me to meet girls on the outside as they judge me based on a persona so I think this experience will allow for people to see the real me."
Joey has had a turbulent time when it comes to his love life, and he puts some of it down to tragically losing his mum to suicide when he was just 10. In the BBC documentary Joey Essex: Grief And Me, he said: “My mum loved me, but she left me. I just think to myself, ‘If she loved me that much, why would she leave me?’ I’ve had loads of relationships but I always end up pushing them away.
"Imagine if I was with someone and I had kids with them and I really did love that person and then she left me. I wouldn't know what to do. I’m already thinking we're gonna break up before we’re together. I’m pushing it away."
Joey thought he had found true love with former TOWIE co-star Sam Faiers, who he got engaged to in 2012. But the pair split in 2014 after three years together, with Sam saying she had to end it for the sake of her "sanity".
She told The Sun previously: "That’s why we had to break up, for the sake of my sanity. I hoped it would end in marriage and children, but in the end I didn’t know who he was any more."
In Sam's book, Secrets And Lies, she told how their explosive rows became too much. She wrote: "Our love for each other was never in question, there was always a powerful chemistry. But our rows were always the end of the world. He could never keep anything private — not only with TOWIE viewers, but with his whole family. He played games and messed with my head. He was obsessed with the idea of me cheating even though I never gave him a single moment of worry."
