Rod Stewart and his partner Penny Lancaster were all smiles as they joined Ray Winstone at a charity football match.

The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy singer, 79, his wife, 53, and her father joined the newly-bald Ray at the charity match held at Bishop Stortford FC for the Charlie Dukes Fund. The event was to raise money for many good causes including the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.

One snap showed Rod, Penny and Ray showing off their pearly whites as they all posed for a camera. Penny looked chic in blue straight-leg jeans, a beige t-shirt and a beige blazer. She completed the look with simple sneakers and sunglasses to protect herself from the sunshine.

Rod looked carefree in jeans, a white shirt, a green jacket and a scarf. Meanwhile, actor Ray swapped his combed-over hair for a bald head as he sported a bright purple tracksuit and supposed the match from the side of the pitch. Penny had her arm around Ray as they all posed.

At one point, Penny and Rod escaped the head by sitting in the shade. They were fully engrossed in the game as they sat side-by-side. Rod shared his day out with his fans on social media, with the star penning: "Fabulous day yesterday at the Steve Dukes charity day for Essex and Herts air ambulance.

"Amazing turnout from the fans and players. Congratulations to Steve and family for once again putting together this fantastic event and a special thank you Rod and Penny for their support. Steve has raised over £200k up to now with the help of the local people. And a special shout out to the RAF boys who did the honours on the day."

It comes after Rod opened up about his marriage to Penny. The legend has been married to Penny Lancaster for 16 years and describes her as “extraordinary”. Opening up about their relationship earlier this year, he said: “Oh it’s wonderful. She puts me in my place.” Rod cheekily admits that things have stepped up a notch since ex-model Penny became a special police constable for the Met Police in April 2021.

“She has become a little bit more bossy,” he jokes. “Even our two children have noticed. Especially when we’re driving! She’ll say, ‘Oh, you’re driving too fast. Oh, you should have put a signal out there.’” He added how he has been “so, so proud” of Penny, who was on policing duties during Elizabeth II’s funeral and the coronation of King Charles.

Not long after, Sir Rod joked about how their marriage changed after she became a constable. During an appearance on Loose Women, one of the hosts asked Penny: "Still policing! I was on as a guest a few weeks ago but I've been busy doing my other things. It's really lovely to be here in the audience to support my husband and Jools on their new album. Great to be here!"

Kaye Adams asked Rod: "Is police officer Penny keeping you in line, Rod?" Rod then responded: "Well, she's leading me and the boys down a more righteous path. Like when the boys are driving the car: 'Two hands on the wheel!'"
