SILVER screen actor Earl Boen has died at 81 after a recent diagnosis of lung cancer.

The actor was known for his roles in the Terminator, Naked Gun 3 and Nutty Professor 2.

The actor died in Hawaii, according to TMZ, and despite his cancer battle, his cause of death has not been released yet.

The star appeared in movies opposite Hollywood A-listers Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton.

Boen is best known for his star turn as criminal psychologist Dr. Peter Silberman in the Terminator series.

He and Schwarzenegger were the only two actors to appear in all three of the franchise's first three movies.

IMDb credits Boen for 291 different film and television roles.

The actor was active in the voice-over industry, characterizing Mr. Bleakman in Clifford the Big Red Dog and Senior in Kim Possible.

He also voiced video game characters in Call Of Duty, the World Of Warcraft series, and Tales Of Monkey Island.

Boen's first wife, Carole Kean, passed away in 2001 after a battle with ovarian cancer.

Kean was also an actor known for her roles in Benson, Hart to Hart, and Monster in the Closet.

He is survived by his second wife Cathy, stepdaughter Ruby, and grandchildren Kimmy Abaricia and Kimo Harbin.
