The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner left fans in stitches after proudly sharing a picture of his dinner on social media.

The 33-year-old entrepreneur probably regretted posting a snap of his rainbow trout dish, served with peas and mash, on X (formerly Twitter). He was met with a barrage of mocking comments – with some even comparing it to "fish roadkill".

He wrote: "Dinner time in the Skinner house! And I've cooked a lovely bit of rainbow trout cooked in garlic lemon and butter for everyone! The baby twins are trying it tonight for the 1st run. Fingers crossed they love it as much as I do! Bosh."

Fans were less than impressed with the meal, with one user writing: "I think this is perhaps the worst plate of food you've ever posted," while another joked there were "not enough peas".

A third asked: "What's the fish equivalent of road kill?" The post sparked a flurry of hilarious responses, with one user describing it as "the worst dinner I've seen in [their] whole entire life."

Others compared the fish to cartoon characters, including a tuna newsreader from Spongebob Squarepants and the Three-Eyed Fish from The Simpsons. "This is what Gollum orders when they take him to The Shire Wetherspoons," another user mocked.

While the fish portion of Thomas' meal drew most of the ire, some eagle-eyed social media users couldn't help but notice the mountain of peas served up for the Skinner clan.

One commenter was particularly perplexed, posting: "There's a lot to unpack here, but the main thing for me is who the f*** plates up *that* many peas?"

The "diabolical" dinner marks a departure from Thomas' regular fare at the infamous Dino's Cafe, where followers of 'The Apprentice' personality have witnessed some peculiar culinary choices.

In one January update, he was seen indulging in a breakfast with no less than seven slices of buttered toast. Meanwhile, a December post captured the Bosh Beds magnate washing down a 5-0 West Ham defeat with a full roast dinner at the crack of dawn.
