Millie Gibson has been spotted in her new acting role after revealing she's quitting Doctor Who.
Earlier this year The Mirror revealed the actress, 19, is leaving her role on the BBC sci-fi series after less than two full series. She will leave Doctor Who next year but has still been seen on screen in its current series as companion Ruby Tuesday alongside new Timelord Ncuti Gatwa.
The former Coronation Street actress, who played Kelly Neelan in the ITV soap, is set to be replaced by actress Varada Seethu in Ncuti's second series. Millie recently teased what is next for her as she said: "Doctor Who is super challenging but I'd love to do something that's completely out of my comfort zone. In this industry, you can't even fathom what you could do next. If someone had said to me at Corrie 'you will be a Doctor Who companion'. I'd have said haha, not sure about that. So I'll go wherever it takes me."

We had a great choreographer Jack Murphy on set in The Devil's Chord [big dance scenes involved], so things like that have definitely helped me grow so much. Also, working alongside Ncuti is like having a free masterclass. I'm like 'you're making me a better actor by the second'. You really get to know a person when you're filming with them every day for nine months, and Ncuti is just magic."
Now, it has been revealed Millie's next role will see her transform into a bride as she was spotted on the set of The Forsyte Saga. She will play Soames Forsyte's love interest Irene. Millie was also spotted filming scenes in a horse drawn carriage alongside actress Fiona Button who starred in The Split.

The new TV drama is the third TV adaptation of 'The Forsyte Saga' in less than 60 years. It has been penned by Poldark writer Debbie Horsfield. Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies made the decision to write Millie out of the show after filming on her first run ended. It surprised fans when the news broke in at the start of the year, just weeks on from Millie making her on-screen debut in the festive episode in December.
Filming her final scenes for Doctor Who, Millie was spotted dashing across the streets of Cardiff. It appeared the Doctor's companion gets into a sticky situation before departing. Dressed in green combat style trousers, a red top and a denim jacket, Millie was joined by two other characters for one scene - with Millie running frantically with two female wheelchair users behind her as they escaped unit police.

Millie said: "Coronation Street runs like clockwork as we were doing 10 to 13 scenes a day.
"It definitely geared me up for this experience because Ncuti and I are primarily the only two people in the cast - we're in every scene, every day! So they're different shows but can be quite similar. They are both iconic British dramas too, and each has a level of pressure, but this one[Doctor Who] is a little bit more pressure!"
