A lawyer who was shot dead at a McDonald's following an argument has been named and pictured.
Jeffrey Limmer died in an incident at the fast food outlet near Chimney Rock in West Houston over the weekend. According to police, Mr Limmer was trying to pacify an enraged customer who was dissatisfied with his order and demanded a refund.
It is alleged that a customer went to his car, retrieved a gun, and shot the lawyer after being knocked to the ground by Mr Limmer during a scuffle. The authorities reported that the customer made his escape in a blue Ford pickup truck.

"[Mr Limmer] loved fiercely his family and friends," Jennifer Thomas, his sister, shared with ABC 13. "Always laughing, making jokes, and just loving life."
She described her late brother, who passed away at the age of 46, as a "good Samaritan" who was "trying to do the right thing and not letting those employees at McDonalds go through that." She further added: "Knowing Jeff, he's the one who always says, 'Calm down. It's not that big of a deal,' and divert the situation...He's always wanted to fight for the little guy and do the right thing."
Greg Monteverde, a friend of Mr Limmer's, told Fox 26 that he had driven past the scene but hadn't realised who had been killed in the incident. He called it "a gut punch," losing the friend he has known since they were just nine. "It's a deep gut punch. I know a lot of us are still in shock."
Mr Monteverde shared touching memories of his friend, a lawyer at Lewis Brisbois law firm, who was also a passionate football fan. "Jeff and I, we grew up together. He was my Quarterback. I called him 'QB1,'" he reminisced.
He continued, revealing their last conversation: "He was very proud of his cousin who just got drafted by the Rams. That was our last conversation about a week ago. He was pretty excited about that."
As of the latest update from Houston police, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
