Disney fans in stitches after noticing amusing detail in Moana song lyric

Disney enthusiasts were left howling after a cheeky misheard lyric from the hit film Moana was pointed out, making it sound like there's a bit of Scottish swearing in the mix.

The film, which debuted in 2016, tells the story of a brave Polynesian teenager named Moana, meaning 'ocean', who joins forces with the legendary demigod Maui to embark on a daring mission to save her people. Voicing the spirited Moana is teen actress Auli'i Cravalho, while Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson brings the charismatic Maui to life.

Moana was a box office triumph, pulling in over $56million during its opening weekend in the US alone. The soundtrack, penned by Broadway titan Lin-Manuel Miranda, also captured hearts worldwide, becoming a streaming favourite.

Yet, it's a particular line in the song 'I Am Moana' that has fans chuckling. Shared by British Memes on Instagram, the clip suggests Moana belts out: "It's like the tide, always f****g rising."

But a quick search reveals the actual lyrics are: "And the call isn't out there at all. It's inside me. It's like the tide. Always falling and rising."

Despite the confusion, fans couldn't help but laugh, flooding the comments section as the video racked up over 1.3million likes.

One social media user hilariously stated: "I've actually seen this movie at least 200 times, now I can't f***ing remember what the actual lyric is. Now I only hear f***ing rising in that accent. This ruined it."

Another quipped: "Moana turned into Merida for a split second," and a third remarked: "My husband's Scottish and he's said this since the first time he saw the movie. I'll never hear it any other way."

However, some users were unable to perceive the change. One wrote: "I cannot hear what y'all are talking about. It just sounds like falling and rising to me."
