Missing TV doctor Michael Mosley has been seen in new CCTV from Greek island he vanished on.
In the footage from Wednesday, he can be seen next to a marina in the village of Pedi, and is walking towards rocky hills.
Helicopters, drones, dogs and a number of emergency responders continue to scour the Greek island. Local police were informed about the disappearance of the 67-year-old British national on the island on Wednesday, and was last spotted in person leaving a beach by foot.
Police and firefighters have been using drones to scour the Symi island, which is part of the Dodecanese island chain and is about 25 miles north of Rhodes.
The new video comes after Greek restaurant owner said she had CCTV footage showing Dr Michael Mosley moments before he went missing on the island. Grini Kaurmadia, whose family own the St Nikolas Beach restaurant, said its security camera showed Dr Mosley using its bathroom at about 1pm on Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant's footage is now being handed over to the local police, who arrived to speak to restaurant staff this morning.
Dr Michael Mosley shares exercise that can cut cholesterol and blood pressureDr Mosley's wife has also spoken out on Saturday for the first time. In a moving statement, the first released publicly since her husband went missing, Dr Bailey Mosley said: "It has been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk. The longest and most unbearable days for myself and my children. The search is ongoing and our family are so incredibly grateful to the people of Symi, the Greek authorities and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help find Michael. We will not lose hope."
It is understood Mosley was last seen by CCTV at a grey-stoned house beside a harbour on the island. He may have walked along a steep uphill concrete road. At the end of the street, a small path leads into the rocky landscape which has little vegetation beyond thistles and dry grass.
Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas, the mayor of Symi, has said he will continue the extensive search operation which has involved police, firefighters with drones, and divers. Speaking through a translator, the mayor of 22 years questioned how anyone could survive in the heat that topped 40C on the day the 'Trust Me, I'm A Doctor' presenter vanished.
Representatives for Dr Mosley have also confirmed that he is missing, while one of the rescuers described the operation to find him as a "race against time". Dr Clare Bailey, his wife, has also been involved in the search, and Michael Mosley's four children have arrived on Symi to help. She first raised concerns about his whereabouts on Wednesday when he did not return to their accommodation within six hours.
On Friday, the mayor's daughter Mika Papakalodouka told the PA news agency that "a lot of" island residents had joined the search and had used their own boats to try and find the British national. She said: "It is a small island, people talk. We're good people actually here. Everybody is looking for him. It's such a small island to get lost on. It's so weird for us. Everybody is worried and looking for him." A woman reported seeing Mosley, known for popularising the 5:2 diet and for his appearances on The One Show and This Morning, in the Pedi area on Wednesday.
