'Cursed' homemade Mr Blobby costume is 'terrifying' and on sale for £1,000

A homemade Mr Blobby costume has left internet users "utterly terrified" - and it's up for grabs for a staggering £999.99.

The bizarre outfit, handcrafted to resemble an off-brand version of the iconic character from Noel's House Party, is currently listed on eBay. It's gained infamy on social media platform Reddit, where disturbed users have taken to nicknaming the terrifying creation.

Reddit user ImperfectButHuman shared the discovery on r/CasualUK and wrote: "Mr Blobby's cousin Mr OhMyGodGetItAwayFromMe. Was just looking up Mr Bobby costume after reading post on here, and this popped up as shopping recommendation........ Utterly terrifying, like a furry's take on crinkly bottom HP Lovecraft."

Redditors were far from thrilled by the ghastly tribute to Mr Blobby. Many ridiculed its nightmarish appearance, with one user suggesting that it needed to be destroyed promptly. One respondent quipped: "Kill it before it lays eggs."

Despite the wide-spread horror, there were some who showed genuine interest in acquiring the frightful ensemble. A user said: "That's absolutely horrendous. Where can I buy one? (Asking for a friend)."

The original poster shared the eBay link, revealing the steep price tag. They half-jokingly suggested potential buyers arrange for an "exorcism" prior to slipping into the homemade creation, adding: "Auction link in post.... It's handmade but a bit pricey at a grand - but open to offers apparently.

"My offer would be to conduct an exorcism before incinerating it to release all the trapped souls." The peculiar item is still available on eBay, with the seller advertising the suit's quality construction and a £999.99 asking price.

The online listing details: "Mr Blobby Outfit Custom Made - Adult Size. Used condition. Hollow inside would look better with packing. 3 part set. Hand sewn. I believe it's been hand made to a good standard."

Despite the supposed good quality, a few Reddit users claimed it will give them nightmares. One user typed: "This should have a trigger warning, I won't sleep tonight now." Another chimed in: "Just when you thought Mr Blobby couldn't get any more cursed."
