APPLE has offered a first glimpse at its homegrown artificial intelligence (AI) model.
And it has a mind-blowingly fun iMessage feature.
Apple Intelligence - the iPhone maker's new AI model - is capable of a whole host of actions, from proof reading text to making Siri smarter and more like ChatGPT.
But it's also able to generate new and original cartoon-style images of your friends.
The AI can create personalised images based on the people in your photo album.

There are three styles to choose from: sketch, illustration and animation.
The new offering aims to make “everyday conversations more enjoyable,” according to Apple.
It works in a similar way to Bitmoji - but with a significant AI-boost.
For example, if you think your mum's a superhero, Apple's AI can turn her into one.
Genmoji
Another AI-powered iMessage boost is Genmoiji.
This lets iPhone owners AI-generate custom emoji with text prompts.
All users need to do is type what they're looking for, and iOS 18's injection of AI will make it.
For example, giving the prompt "T-Rex wearing a tutu on a surfboard" will get you exactly that emoji.
