Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend Sofia Richie has expressed happiness at the news that his wife Hailey Bieber is pregnant.
The 30-year-old singer briefly dated the 25-year-old model and socialite in the summer of 2016 during a break in his Purpose World Tour. They split up after just a few weeks and at the time, Sofia, who is Lionel Richie's daughter, described their relationship as "special", saying Justin was "very easy to talk to".
On Thursday, Justin and Hailey announced to the world that they are expecting a baby and Sofia was one of Justin's exes who reached out to congratulate the new parents. Sofia, who is also pregnant with her first child with music executive Elliot Grainge, commented under Hailey's post writing "Ahh!! Congratulations."

She wrote on Instagram: "Congrats, happy for y'all!" The pair met when Justin was 14 and broke up after dating for a year, but have remained on good terms as she even attended his wedding to Hailey, 27, in 2018.

Although Hailey and Justin have not revealed the gender of their first child, they have reportedly already picked out the "perfect" name and also begun decking out their $26 million (£20.7 million) Beverly Hills mansion with a nursery and selecting the perfect decor for the addition to their home. According to an insider, the duo "can't wait" to meet their bundle of joy.

The source also revealed why the couple waited to reveal that Hailey - who is reportedly already six months pregnant, according to TMZ - is carrying a child.
Describing how the duo felt "very protective" of the unborn baby, they explained: "It was very important for them to keep it quiet and just enjoy [it] for as long as possible before they publicly confirmed," adding that they had shared the news with family and close friends pretty early on. The insider also said that 30-year-old Justin is "so excited to raise his baby", describing fatherhood as his "next important project".
The hitmaker has long been open about his dreams of starting a family, telling Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show in 2020: "I am going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out. I'd love to have myself a little tribe." Upon hearing their pregnancy news, the couple's celebrity pals were quick to congratulate them.
Hailey's best friend Kendall Jenner commented on the post: "ahhhh here come the tears again", while Chrissy Teigen wrote: "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! You are going to be an amazing amazing mommy oh boy get ready!!! So exciting so happy for you both!!"
