THE CREATOR of hit series Big Boys has officially disputed claims that a third season is currently in the works, making fans nervous that the show might be axed.
Jack Rooke's sitcom is loosely based on his own life and provides a heart-warming look into male friendship.
It follows the experiences of two very different men as they start to bond during their first week of university.
Closeted gay and recently bereaved Jack is played by Dylan Llewellyn, while Jon Pointing takes on the role of Danny, his older and more outgoing straight flatmate.
The material for the Channel 4 series comes from Jack's award-winning Edinburgh Fringe shows - Good Grief, Happy Hour, and Love Letters.

British Comedy Guide recently reported that production has started on the third season of the show.
However, Jack took to X to hit back against the announcement, saying: "Fake news babe I ain’t signed anything."
The comedian went on to joke: "There is no s3 of Big Boys atm until I get the requests I have made approved. They include, but are not limited to:
- our own line of BB poppers
- budget for a George Michael song PER EP
- 1000 doves at the wrap party
- more lesbians in the crew (only queer ppl I truly trust)"
After the tongue in cheek commentary, he finished on a more serious note, writing: "All news reports of the third series are utter bulls**t until they come from ME AND MY LAWYERS MOUTHS!!!!!!"
Fans flocked to the comments begging Channel 4 bosses to give the writer everything he needs to keep working on the sitcom.
One person exclaimed: "May all your requests be approved because we need series three!!"
Another added: "For f**k sake! These are all perfectly reasonable requests. Someone give Jack Rooke whatever he wants! I need series 3 in my eyeballs stat!"
Queer writer and producer Jason Reid chimed in: "Get em told love x"
According to the BCG's exclusive, season three is already underway, with Jim Archer returning as the director.
The first two seasons are available to stream on Channel 4 but also Netflix.
