In positive news, Kerry, a former NHS manager, was able to confirm that the mole was "benign" but spoke at length about the emotional toll the ordeal had taken on her.
Kerry, who suffers from MS, first discovered the mole in late April and admitted that her own concerns, as well of those of friends and family, had forced her to get it checked out after initially putting it off.

"When I took a picture, I zoomed in and when I checked it was different colours, it was scaly and there was no outline on it.
"I had completely talked myself into thinking it was something more sinister that what it was."
Admitting she had at first "buried her head in the sand" over the mole, she sent her thanks to those around her who had sent their support.
Kerry, who is now a regular on Good Morning Britain's fiery debates, went on to say: "The dermatologist used a dermascope and she said it is fine.
"I can't remember what it is called but it is completely benign.
"She said, 'well done for getting it checked out' as people are looking at their bodies more as we get summer ready."
Kerry has been open and honest about her health struggles since her rise to fame and has done her best to raise awareness around her lifelong condition of multiple sclerosis.
Earlier this year she was left "ugly crying" as she broke down whilst talking about the condition.
Speaking at the time, Kerry said: "When I got diagnosed with MS 16 years ago, I absolutely said with every fibre of my being, I will make a difference.
