Britain's Got Talent star Jonathan Antoine looks completely different after losing an incredible four stones.

The opera singer appeared on the ITV talent show in 2012, as part of the classical duo Jonathan and Charlotte. The pair made it to the final, but lost out to dog and owner double act Ashleigh and Pudsey. But despite missing out on the top spot, the pair were offered a £1m deal with judge Simon Cowell's SyCo label, just days after the competition ended. Initially starting out as a duo, Charlotte and Jonathan went their separate ways two years later, and haven't spoken for years.

And Charlotte would be forgiven for not recognising him anymore, after he has completely revamped his appearance after focussing on building a healthier lifestyle. Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "I've still got a lot to lose but I'm making my way. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in 10 years, which is a lot.

"This year I've made an active choice. I've felt I've lacked the discipline a lot. When I was out in America its fast food everywhere. I was in a terrible state in the start of the year and I've been able to claw my way back doing light exercise. I'm a very big fella so heavy exercise would just tear me up. I'm working my way up, thinking about what I eat because that is important."

The singer, who despite his successes musically, still lives with his mum and dad in Hainault, London, says doing 10,000 steps a day has helped his weight loss, and feels now he's more active, he's actually living life.

He added: "For a long time I was just experiencing life, letting life live me, trying to find the next pleasue. Taking control of your own life, seizing your world with your hands, is very gratifying."

When he's not getting his steps in, he's still doing well in his music career, and will be performing at Ephesus in Greece in August - an ancient ampitheatre, where gladiators used to fight.

Elaborating on his weight loss success, he told The Sun he went from 20st to 16st after joining a weight loss club. He explained: "I signed up with WeightWatchers last year, but I didn’t take it seriously until this April – now I’ve lost 4st. I never felt pressure to lose weight from people in the music industry but I wanted to do it for myself. I feel much better within myself and will keep going."

Jonathan added that he doesn't have an "ideal size" he wants to get to - his main aim is to "be healthy".
