Shoppers are thrilled to learn that the retailer have stocked up on the popular Jamaican patties following its huge success.

The beef patty has taken the UK by storm when it initially landed at Aldi and sold out in just 48 hours.

The fan-favourite snack isn't only delicious, but also cheap, retailing at a meager 99p.

No wonder shoppers grabbed dozens at a time before walking out the supermarket when the patty had first hit the shelves.

Now they are back and fans couldn't be more excited as they waited for the restock for weeks.

One person wrote on Facebook: "Been searching for these bad boys for weeks after they were an instant sell-out, finally got them back in my local Aldi."

The authentic Jamaican patty was made by a father-son duo from Peckham, London, who run their own wholesale bakery, Flake Bake.

Paul, 54, and Mike Williams, 33, have secured a second contract with the supermarket chain to distribute their product.

In a Facebook post, they wrote: "After the huge success of our Jamaican beef patty selling out in less than 48 hours at ALDI’s nationwide, we are proud to announce that ALDI has 4x their order to 100,000 patties!"

The beef patty is already available to customers across 1,000 Aldi stores nationwide.

Fans flocked to the comments, asking the bakery to keep restocking at Aldi as they can't get enough of the snack.

Some shoppers bought 16 patties at a time while others kept going back to the store to snap up more.

One person said: "I've been waiting for this. I'm buying all the box, sorry guys, from Feltham."

Another one added: "We managed to get half a dozen yesterday! So pleased that you guys are doing so well with this!"

A third shopper wrote: "Please keep supplying to Aldi UK. I have friends who still can’t get their hands on them 2nd time round."

Someone else said: "We bought more, so tasty, hope you become a regular."

"Hopefully Aldi will keep ordering from you," one user said.

Another fan wrote: "Yay! Gutted I didn’t get any last time."

The father and son have sold over six million patties after starting their small bakery 12 years ago and growing into a full-fledged production.

But the pair might sell even more as they are in talks with other major retailers to get their patties into more stores across the nation.

Paul and Mike saw an overnight success thanks to winning the Channel 4 show Aldi's Next Big Thing which searched for a brand new product to stock in its stores.

Mike told Southwark News: “Since winning the show it’s just been non-stop. Everyone was talking about this patty.

"UB40, Loose Women – even Man City Football Club reached out to us.”

Paul added: “It feels like we’ve put patties on the map in the UK.”
