AN ANTIQUES Roadshow guest was left stunned by the value of a teacup on the BBC show.
The popular series aired on Sunday night, with Fiona Bruce and the team at the Culzean Castle in South Ayrshire.
Presenting her teacup and saucer to the expert, the lady explained how her uncle was in the navy and bought the item back from Japan.
During the episode the guest was floored when she discovered her item had a "hidden secret".
Dashing her hopes of a big payday, the expert explained how the teacups and saucers were "made in their thousands", before revealing something exciting.

After showcasing her teacup and saucer to the antiques expert, the woman explained how she got the item - revealing her uncle - who was in the navy bought it back from Japan.
She shared that the teacups and saucers were unique and rare and "made in their thousands".
Taking a good look at the items, the expert said: "However, yours hides a little secret."
As he examined the teacup, he said: "If I hold that up, because you've got the geisha in the bottom of yours, it's probably worth about £80 to £100."
The lady looked shocked when the expert told her that she could get a healthy amount for her small item.
"That's great," she exclaimed as she laughed nervously with excitement.
Elsewhere in the programme, viewers got to see other items being presented, including a letter from President Eisenhower and one of the most valuable tables ever seen on the show.
A fabulous collection of Scottish silver and a Chinese table were brought to the experts to value.
