With exam season in full swing, many young people are feeling the pressure to perform well. Already on the edge, the added stress of a visit from "Aunt Flo" could make an already difficult day feel almost impossible.

Feeling comfortable and protected while sitting still for hours can be a challenge for any teen. Thanks to the sustainable lingerie brand WUKA's latest range of period pants though, youngsters who have periods could face them feeling more relaxed and confident than ever before.

Already proving popular with students and parents alike, users have hailed the WUKA Stretch for Teens range as "life-changing," providing unmatched comfort and confidence with no visible panty lines (VPL).

Designed to feel and look like normal underwear, the WUKA pants come with built-in leak-proof technology that holds the equivalent of up to four tampons, as well as odour protection which works for up to 12 hours. The range is available in a selection of bright colours as well as traditional black and includes a range of styles and flows to suit all body shapes.

With various styles including boxer shorts and traditional briefs, these period pants have been designed to ensure that everyone feels comfortable on every day of their cycle. With prices for WUKA's teen range starting from as little as £14.99, they are an affordable and reusable alternative to bulky sanitary pads.

The awesome power of the period pant brand can be used long after exams are over. WUKA also makes a range of teen swimwear, with sleek swimsuits with a protective lining starting from £39.99 and bikini bottoms from £17.59.

Carefully curated using stretch technology, the WUKA Stretch pants can expand by up to three sizes when you need them to without causing any leaks. Perfect for growth spurts or the dreaded period bloating, these period pants are an investment that lasts.

WUKA also sells an innovative wearable hot water bottle. Designed to target tummy aches and back pain, it's a modern take on traditional warmers.

Shoppers who have already discovered the convenience of the WUKA's teen range have been leaving five-star reviews on the website.

One customer described them as a 'game changer' for her teenage daughter saying: "My 12-year-old has 5 pairs of the WUKA pants and she loves them. They are comfy, she feels confident when doing sport because she can run around without worrying about leaking. They have been a game changer and I would definitely recommend."

A second added: "They are amazing! My teen said they were super comfortable and did not ride up, and she slept in them all night. She is 15 and really conscious about the lines in her leggings too, so she was happy as it was invisible."

Another happy customer, writing about her own experience, said: "They're so comfy I forgot I was even wearing them!"

Meanwhile, a parent praised them for how easy the pants were to use: "Very discrete and absorbent. My daughter doesn't have to worry about changing pads in school. Puts a pair on first thing and that's her for the day."

Shoppers love the confidence-boosting range of colours and prints, with one saying: "Not only is my teen delighted with the pants and how well they perform, she's a trailblazer in her school class where most of her contemporaries use a different brand which comes in black only. So watch out for an avalanche of orders for the colours!"

Most reviews on WUKA's site are five-star but a rare 4-star response flagged one quibble with the pants: "I’m so glad I went for it with these and at a good price. They are so much more comfortable than pads and tampons. Four stars only because you can’t wash with softener."

While the range is aimed at teens, mums who've bought them for their daughters have been converted to shopping with the brand, with one saying: "My 14 year old loves them. No VPL, super absorption and lovely and soft. What more could you want? I've ordered some for me."

Recent research has shown that menstruating students miss an average of 54 days of education during their teenage years due to their period, something that WUKA CEO Ruby Raut says is unacceptable. She added: "In 2024, periods shouldn't be a barrier to education. Our VAT-free undies and swimwear are now even more accessible to teens with different styles and flows to suit all body shapes and sizes, even on very heavy flow days.

"We have to help girls confidently navigate puberty and foster greater inclusion in school. WUKA period pants do exactly that helping girls focus on learning, without worrying about period-related accidents or shame surrounding periods."

WUKA lets users shop by flow, meaning that they can choose the right product to suit their cycle. Buy WUKA period pants here.

Alternatively, Marks and Spencers also sell their own brand of period underwear, and John Lewis also has a large selection.
